/finplan:accounts¶
View and manage your financial accounts β balances, investment allocations, add new accounts, or update existing ones.
Usage¶
Type /finplan:accounts optionally followed by an argument.
Arguments¶

Account Summary¶
Accounts are displayed grouped by category with a total balance:

| Name | Account name or auto-generated label |
| Type | Traditional 401(k), Roth IRA, Taxable Brokerage, etc. |
| Balance | Current balance in dollars |
| Allocation | Stocks / Bonds / Cash split (e.g., 80/15/5) |
| Tax treatment | Pre-tax, Roth, Taxable, etc. |
Supported Account Types¶
- Retirement: Traditional 401(k), Roth 401(k), Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA
- Tax-advantaged: HSA, 529 Plan
- Taxable: Brokerage, Savings, Checking, Money Market, CD
- Real estate: Property, Mortgage
- Other: I Bonds, Crypto
Adding an Account¶
When adding, you'll be asked for:
- Account type
- Current balance
- Investment allocation (stocks/bonds/cash β must sum to 100%)
- Name and institution (optional)
- Whether it's at your current employer (for 401(k) accounts)
Info
For 401(k) accounts, you'll be prompted about employer match. Employer match is configured separately but the setup will guide you.
