See everything come together in an interactive projection dashboard.
Command
Run /finplan:projection-dashboard to generate your dashboard. See the command reference for details.
Generate your dashboard¶
Type /finplan:projection-dashboard and FinPlan will create an HTML file and open it in your browser. No other setup needed.
What you'll see¶
Summary cards — one card per goal plus total portfolio. Each card shows projected outcome and a status badge.
Fan charts — Monte Carlo percentile bands (p10–p90) showing the range of possible outcomes over time. The wide band is the uncertainty; the line through the middle is the median.
Account breakdown — a stacked area chart of all your accounts projected forward to age 90, so you can see which accounts are doing the work.
Assumptions — your personal info, current balances, return assumptions, and key milestones collected in one place for review.
Status badges¶
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| On Track | Median outcome meets or exceeds target |
| Needs Plan | No funding set up, or median falls short of target |
| At Risk | Median significantly below target |
What to do next¶
The dashboard is a starting point, not a final answer. Adjust contributions, try different retirement ages, or compare Social Security claiming strategies. Each change regenerates the projections immediately.
When life changes — new job, new child, market shift — run /finplan:checkup for a guided review of your entire plan.
